    Default spectators

I have read in some books that it during the napoleonic era it was fashionable for some members of society to go and watch battles (from a safe vantage point i would hope) as entertainment. Just wondering if anyone else has heard this. Would be interesting if the modding community could look into this for creating a mod.

During the first main battle of the U.S. Civil War (Bull Run) there were spectators that came from Washington D.C. to see the battle but I never heard of that in Napoleonic wars.

i know the first major battle of the american civil war a whole bunch of high society came out to watch. as the federals were routed the spectators were in the way of the retreating union troops, knocked over, running there buggys off the roads, all the while fleeing in a panic at the oncoming confederates! lol
