Steam problems?

Can anyone tell me if they are having dl issues and extremely laggy and slow steam like I am...

yeah mine is really slow to! its also keep reseting to 0%!!!!! f

Probably because there is tons of other people downloading it at the moment. Try to change the steam settings where you are downloading from to another country thats close to yours if that helps?

it said 5 hours to download but im at 7% after about 5 minutes right now...

hopefully i dont turn back to 0 soon

Don't worry. It says it goes back to 0, but if you check your games in the steam folder it shows how much you've downloaded. I was about to make a thread about this. My dial keeps freezing so I restart steam in another dl zone to try and fix the er. I love steam for being so incredibly unreliable for downloading games. I am so glad that there was no option to pre-download the game, because now I can experience the same wait that Europeans get as the NTW download keeps freezing and fluctuating all the way down to 10 kb/s during peak hours.

Why would you love Steam for being so incredibly unreliable for downloading games? That would seem like a bad thing.....oops, wait, the batteries died in my sarcasm meter.

This happened to a friend of mine with ETW on release. They get completely overloaded with D/Ls and aren't designed to handle it all at once. I buy a lot of software digitally, but sometimes a hard copy is a good thing.

Ya I was like ten percent downloaded, and when I came back to my computer it just said updating; with no percentage. I restarted steam and now it says it's updating, but I think it is working now. I had to change servers to get it to work though.

well im still steady at 2 mbs a sec at 14%, just wanna play this game already...

You go to settings tab, then to downloads. I doubt it has to do with the regions because I can't find a good one to save my life right now. Although I have no idea what I'm talking about, it seems to me that people with fast connections like you get priority over people who max out at ~400 kb/s and that leaves me to get ed in the ass with and unreliable download speeds until one region is out of their peak hours and I can dl NTW from there unopposed.

I just finished downloading in about an hour.

I'm sorry I must be stealing all the bandwidth. I promise I will share after its done downloading.

I'm downloading at a slow rate of about 1.5 mb/s usually its 2.5 to 3

I broke down after watching the live stream...I'm downloading it @ 1.6mb/s.

I never ever had slow downloads unless my end was the one screwing up...and I have 20 steam games.

My connection to L.A. from Ohio on SpeakEasy is 21 mb/s.

DLing at a cool 50 kb/s from the seattle server. Gonna go on a shooting rampage now.

I'm at 1.0 meg/sec at the moment, still will take 2 hours or so...

Thanks guys i appreciate it my dl kept resetting the key is to wait till its at 100% then launch it, if u try earlier a steam glitch happens and your comp will lag.....

hey guys, if you dont mind me asking, whats the size of the download? I`m still debating if I should buy the game on steam or go pick it up from a retail store.
