Steam friends gone: browser doesn't lag

Hi guys,
I don't know if I'm the only one affected, but it doesn't look like: all my Steam friends are gone.
I start this thread to tell you something else I noticed though: my game browser doesn't lag anymore.

Can anybody acknowledge this behavior?
It must have to do with it filtering all games from not in your Steam region, but then allowing games hosted by Steam friends anyway.
It sucks that the more friends you have, the laggier the browser is...

And me thinking that the browser was poorly written, when it turns out that it's just poorly written. Ahem.

(I posted here and not in tech help because it's not something anybody can help with anyway, and it affects the MP browser only).

Explains why I never knew what you were all talking about. My browser never lagged because I only have a dew steam friends haha. Maybe you could pass this on to CA?

seems like they fixed this issue. I saw it before, but now all the friends are back.

It's due to the new beta UI there testing out. They've fixed most of the accounts now, plus the new UI is awesome.

Yeah the friends were back pretty quick, I didn't really worry about that.
But the browser not lagging was a weird experience... it's possible that this is why CA came up with the whole filter by download region thing.
