Well I must say the new uniforms for all the nations looks great. Even though the Bavarian helmet is all wrong and looks more like the helmet minus the crest from about the 1860s. Hopefully the modders will be able to change the helmet to look more correct but I must say they did a good job with the uniforms and the militia actually looks good too.

So all the fans of Bavaria and people who have ancestors in the Bavarian army the uniforms are close enough, but we are just missing the correct helmet but it is still a good start.

By the way all the shaking kinda made me dizzy at first when I stood up haha

Uniform is correct but the helmet is very wrong sadly.

Still in game the uniform had a yellow lapel with red around the cuffs and lining with Cornflower Blue uniform. So just we need the helmet replaced and I dont know how to take pictures lol

Yea but the sad thing if they only gave the Bavarian army the helmet I believe from either Denmark or Swedish cavalry unit it would be closer than the crap one it has now. But yes at least it looks nicer

    All Knotel plates great artist

So i took pictures in game but I can not find the pictures can someone help me? I have a lot of screens and would like to show you which helmet was used for Bavaria and what in game helmet would be better.

Nicolas by the way you avatar is a early war Bavarian infantry I believe. The way you can tell is the way his backpack is worn. On the side or hip was Prussian fashion from Frederick The Great period which would be pre 1806 for Bavaria. On the back in the French style became popular with the Bavarian army around 1807-1809 and then finally they adopted french 6 company and three rank firing drill before 1812 because before that I believe they had 4 or 5 companies one being Grenadiers and then fired in 2 ranks.

If you all like Bavaria a great book is John Gills To Glory with Eagles all about the German Allies fight in 1809 campaign. I am Hessian and Bavarian and in the book they talk about Bavaria, Hesse, Baden, Wurtemburg, Saxony, and even all the smaller kingdoms like Westphalia.

The first photo is the Bavarian helmet now and the second photo is the Swedish Horse Guards helmets that look a lot closer than the original bavarian helmet.

    http://img265.imageshack.us/img265/4346/28886169.png

Now the second photo is still not the correct Bavarian helmet because it would need more of a brim in front of the helmet and more gold plating but still I think it would have been a better choice. If they would of mixed these two helmet together and given the first picture the top half of the Swedish Horse Guard helmet it would of looked much better. What do you think?

Bavarian infantry regiment. The light infantry has the correct green uniform but just the helmet is not really that close. Some might not care about the helmet but it just doesnt look right on them. I believe that type of helmet would be closer to the Wurtemberg helmet that closely resembled the 1805 Austrian Roman-Greco Helmet style.
