    Default Quagmire

Hi, I am playing my first Grand Campaign as England and have recently gotten the 13 colonies to join me but now I am stuck. I lower middle class taxes to end rebelions and now I am broke. Are there any basic tips you can provide me that are not major spoilers to get me out of this funk?

Dragoons to keep the peace. You are going to have to station some real armies there or they will revolt. CA actually got this part right. You need to suppress the rebels or a new nation will emerge.

Start taking some other colonies that will really bring in good trade, upgrade your ports to get more trade partners, also, start to research more economic technology as this will really help. Once you've done this you'll be able to upgrade plantations etc which will get you more things to sell, thus getting more money for you

    Hope this helps!

Usually, military is the largest drag on your finances. Disband as many units as you can that are not involved in fighting the enemy or necessary as garrison.
Make sure that you have the right minister for each position; you can drag them from post to post or fire them if they suck.
A good military minister lowers the army upkeep a fair bit, a good finance minister raises tax income, a good domestics minister makes less troops necessary to keep the peace.

i dont understand why people seem to have problems with rebellions. I mean with taxes at 2. level and a modern university (thus 14-20 reform) in year 1770's(means i researched hell a lot of techs increasing reform), I only need 2 gardens (or whatever the last form of theater was) if I dont want to garrison any force and I always play at vh.

Sometimes I disband really useless troops(ie. pikemen) and try to make a real plan in the next turn before I'm broke
What the hell happened to this WORLD?
