Goodday Everyone, my name is Isa

a total war fan since shogun total war.
I have a budget of 4500 dollars(It took me a long time to save this kind of money as a student heheh) to build a pc. What I want is to make a pc which will be high quality and not budget. It would be even better if it would make the end turns of empire total war under 10 seconds

and the loading times as fast as possible too.

Could you help me in selecting the best parts. I already have a monitor mousem windows 7 64 bit ultimate etc. I will be spending the money solely on the pc

Already thanks for the suggestions on the parts and memory size and so on. I want it to be a pc that will play empire and napoleon total war so fast it will make your head spin especially the end turns must be fast

Go to the Basement subforum. They will be on you like white on rice helping you pick out a new computer. I honestly think that you can get a super computer for about $3k with top of the line everything including 5970's cross fired. I am not even sure how you could possibly spend $4500.

Seriously. That other 1.5 k could then go to beer or other important expenses

I don't know if Cyperpower exists in your country but for 850 GBP they made me a pc which plays ETW at ultra with darthmod's huge units with no problems.

If you want end turns under ten seconds, it won't happen mid to late game. The game engine is too slow and not optimized.

So this means even with a high end PC empire total war still won't have fast end turns in the mid and late game? Hmm, I thought that maybe a intel i core extreme would, with a lot of FAST QUALITY RAM, and high end graphic card and FAST MOTHERBOARD, would make a fast campaign game in Empire Total War Possible? That's why I have chosen for such a high budget.

Yes. This game is made to take a faction, go through every unit and character in that faction, every possible and impossible occurance in the player's ai, and the computer's ai, one at a time. It is not setup to fully use the cores on a multicore cpu to send different factios or cultures down different cores and different threads for the final results. It is very archaic one step at a time programming. Marantha and Ottomans have proven that.

In other words, this game is not optimized even if your computer is named Cray or Big Blue. It won't run any faster than the code it's written for.

Too bad even throwing a lot of money on a pc will not enhance the gaming experience very much it seems too bad, well yeah thanks a lot for the help guys
