If you take the French capital - expect a lot of rebel stacks to appear (even if you exempt the region from taxes).

Battle of Köpenhamn, 1810. Wellington is being attacked by two full strength armies of the Danes. Can he hold them back? These skirmishers are picking off targets from a distance on the right flank.

Danish infantry moves in under heavy fire from British howitzers. They were brave but bravery don't stop bullets or shrapnel...

On the left center, the Royal Black Guard's of Scotland were tasked with the defense of the new "rocket artillery". Several cavalry charges were thrown off, much thanks to the famous square formation.

British losses were relatively low while the Danes suffered a crushing defeat. Amongst the dead were almost the entire Danish Royal Guard, whom fought valiantly but could not turn the battle for a danish victory. This battle effectively ended the British-Danish war, leading to a full annexation of Denmark.

Wellington is now marching south, to aid the Prussian onslaught of the french forces in the low countries...

Can we get this thread sticky'd again? It'd help to keep forum-users coming to the thread instead of making new ones/make it easier for the mods too.

As my French campaign was pushing east towards Austria, and completing my conquest of Italy...I blinked and noticed a full-stack of British troops had made landfall in Brittany. This forced was commanded by none other than...the Iron Duke! I was able to scramble and get to stacks of forces out to his area, but neither was commanded by a real general...all six of my mains were involved in the offensives in the east.

...on a side note, Nelson commanded the British naval forces, and decided to erase my small 38-gun frigates from the seas.

Here's a photo of the ensuing slaughter of militia and citizen forces in Rennes, France...the Duke showed no mercy to my pitiful band of troops.
