My steam account says 12 hours to go before Napoleon is unlocked. Other Aussie users have made similar reports on http://shoguntotalwar.yuku.com/topic...tion-Date.html just look towards the bottom posts.

EXCELLENT, too bad EB Games doesn't give em out til the 25th!
Formally known as 'Marshal Beale' - The Creator the Napoleon TW mods - 'Napoleon Order of War' and 'Revolution Order of War'
The countdown tends not to be regional sometimes, so don't get too excited.
Rip off overhead attempt at the British heading... fail.
Field Marshal Horatio Herbert Kitchener, 1st Earl Kitchener KG, KP, GCB, OM, GCSI, GCMG, GCIE, ADC, PC (24 June 1850 – 5 June 1916), was an Irish-born British Field Marshal and proconsul who won fame for his imperial campaigns and later played a central role in the early part of the First World War, although he died halfway through it.

Wow, so steam now activates it on the 24th? Epic.
10 hours to go. But as Marshal Beale commented we don't get our games yet. Marshal, I gather you preordered the Emperor's Edition? I know I did.
Presumably those Aussies who ordered via steam will get their copy running on the 24th? Steam is selling the std version for USD$39.99, with exchange at about USD$0.90 to the AUD$ that only about $45-50 including a transaction fee from the CC company to do the foreign currency. Cheapest I've seen the std retail copy in Perth is about AUD$68.00 and it won't be released until Thursday!
Normally I am fond of having a physical copy of games. But as we're so intimately linked with Steam and I can't run the game separately anyway I'm really wondering if I should just save a few bob and go with the d/l version.
Anyone know if they are staggering downloads this time around to stop the servers crashing?

Actually, on second thought, I probably don't have the broadband allowance to even think about downloading this. How big is it from Steam? 8GB? More? I see two DVD's in the promo packaging ... Looks like I'll be waiting for Thursday after all. Hopefully Steam won't have drowned in the overload by then
