Instalation problem for R:TW

Hello everyone! I was wondering if someone could help me with Rome:Total War, because i cant install it!

Heres the error i get when i try to install/uninstall it.

The following Error occured on the file 'D:/Program Files/The Creative Assembly/Rome - Total War/mss32.dll.
This also happens with the files: msssoft.m3d , mssmp3.asi , msseax.m3d , mssdsp.flt and mssds3d.m3d .

The error occured when i was replacing the Julii Units Skins and i edited the Texture folder(should have made a backup )

So, anyone got any ideas for solving this problem? Because i want to start filming my gameplay with FRAPS A.S.A.P

How did you fix it?

I have a problem now, when I try to install the game, at the end of the installation I get an Error. It says that an Error occured on the file "C:\Program\Activision\Data\sounds\SFX.dat" (same error on Music.dat)

I have not had RTW installed before on this comp, and I have no mods or nothing. Any help would be appreciated!

Clean your discs. Check them for scratches, dirt, fingerprints, food, etc., then try it, again.

Ive checked the third disc(which is the one that crashes) and there is little to no scratch at all. I cleaned the disc, but still the same problem. I have tried with a Desktop install as well, but its still an error.
Perhaps my third disc is just broken? :S

The info you have given me looks like it's a conflict with Windows. What version of Windows are you using?

I have Windows XP SP 3

Anyway, I called my friend over and he came with Disc III, I tried again to install and this time it worked... although I had another error with animations and textures :S But I could press "Ignore" and then I manully replaced the files that were missing. Now it works and im off to game RTW!
