I love both games, but feel that Rome has a little more re playability than Empire.

They're both two different games, so its hard to compare, out of pure fun I'd say Empire though.

im with u on that, i bought Rome after Empire and medieval2 and wish i hadnt - its utter cack in comparison to those....

true, i really like roman history so i was drawn to the game even before is started to play. With empire, there was just an unintresting time period and a half done game lol.lol

Well i like Empire: Total War more than Rome: Total war because i'm better with 18th century tactics/Napoleonic age tactics.

There should be a third option.
For me it all depends on my mood, i can be in an Antiquity mood, or an Empire mood, usually shows or books i read give me some motivation to play. Game styles are different yes, but I dont really care, its all depending on my mood

Empire Total War easily was the most interesting total war game. Unfortunately the execution of the game was a big mess.
