This is too much. My game arrived in the post this morning. The Imperial edition. The Heroes of the Napoleonic War activation code came underneath an adhesive strip. I first tried ti scratch it off. No luck. I then tried to peel it off, and its all torn away, and the code is literally absolutely illegible. Who do I turn to in my time of need? The sega phonenumber is entirely without options.

The only thing i can think of if you don't want to call sega is to send an email with some pics showing the peeled of strip and it's backside with the back of the code on it next to the paper where it was on

Thats a reasonable alternative depending on where you are.
In the EU one can have the Imprerial edition from an UK online retailer cheaper than the regular edition from Steam.
    Steam totally lost the pricing.

Mabye the adhesive strip was designed to not peel off until the 26th

Thanks for the advice, Johan. I'll email them. But surely there must be some way of proving that I purchased the Imperial Edition. I'd advise everybody else to be super careful. I am a broken man. For the time being. They betetr be helpful.

You can always try to send it back to the shop you bought it from with some flimsy excuse its not working. Since you will not be asking for a refund but just another "working" copy you might get away with it

I almost refuse to accept that it is my idiocy that is to blame here, because the damned thing literally would not come off without taking the whole code with it.

I'm really sorry to hear that, Sid, it must have been quite frustrating for you. Your best bet is to e-mail SEGA support, and they should be able to help you.

Buy it through steam next time
    Now that's uncalled for.

Yeah, thatīs really bad, isnīt it. You should not contact SEGA or CA. You should contact the shop from which you bought it and claim a new copy. Going through SEGA or CA will take forever.

    Good luck, mate.

Huh? They put tape over the code? Are you sure that the right code? I've never heard of this before.

Also, have you tried installing the game yet?

Return the game to the shop, best without installing the game.

He's pretty much right. Just do it if Sega won't respond.

Haha. That's what your getting for buying the game.
Sega wants to punish those who buy it You are supposed to go trough hell before you can get another one, or another code You rather just BUY another one.
    I'm not spending a dime.
