    Default Opera

Recently I've discovered what a majestic and beautiful artform opera is. Unfortunately, Youtube is my only source at the moment. There is a theatre where I live, but I've only seen silly operettas there.

Not sure of the purpose of this thread. You can discuss opera here, I suppose.

Here's a beautiful one iudas. I've never really been to an opera but I'd love to go to one. But there are none where I live...

I've only been to "Ariadne auf Naxos" by Richard Strauss, but I'd love to go to the big classical works by Verdi, Puccini, Mozart,... this year or next year.

I'm a big fan. I've seen quite a few in my time. Lately it's dropped off because I'm in college, and I mostly went with my family back home

There is nothing wrong with silly operettas... one my all time favorite Operas is The Tales of Hoffmann by Jacques Offenbach. The Barcarolle is pretty famous…
