    Default aboriginal heresy

did the concept of heresy play a role in aboriginal culture? i mean was it considered punishable or reprehendable to reject their oral history as just nice stories with a morale?

Define aboriginal, do you mean aboriginies of australia or any aboriginal culture which would be a vast generalization of the 10,000 plus cultures out there. However there are instances where the mainstream of said particular culture finds others that are aberrant and heretical. There are also plenty of documentation either in oral or written of persecution or elimination of the aberrant or heretical groups. It is not just a modern religious phenonomen associated too often with the abrahamic religions but reflective of humanity as a whole.

In native america witchcraft and those who practiced it were for the most part hunted down and killed. Witchcraft as being defined as channeling the supernatural for personal gain versus petitioning the supernatural for blessing.

    australian aboriginal.

at the moment there are a lot of westerners who would not like to see christianity taught in schools but who would for example like to see aboriginal children taught aboriginal stories. (the noble savage)

and i was trying to figure out if we have a legitimate reason for feeling that way.

No Aboriginal outside some isolated communities in Central and western believes the Dreaming .

Generally speaking, we historically didn't have major conflicts. We did raid other Tribes for Tools, food and Women (in that order). Our population density was far too low for anything else.
