orc diplomats

i tried searching and couldnt find anything so apologies if this has been asked already.i find it wierd that orcs have diplomats.they exist to destroy men and elves and dwarves,the only 2 interests they have in those races is as slaves or food and to have one turn up at my gates and offer trade is just odd.or is it hardcoded or something? its not game breaking or anything its just wierd!

Well, you need an ingame way to deal with the AI factions.
Say, you decide to turn on Harad. You have to break the alliance first.

so i take it then theres no way to have one faction constantly at war with another,as the elves were with the orcs for example?

Well, the bad guys actually used diplomatics.

For example Saruman bribed Wormtongue and persuaded the dunlendings. The Uruk-Hai would have bargained with Aragorn at the Siege of Helms deep, Sauron sent emissaries to the Dwarves and the Rohirrim, the Mouth of Sauron negotiated with Aragorn and Gandalf etc. at the Black Gate..

i agree but most of the diplomats were not orcs or goblins.at helms deep the orcs were ridiculing aragorn,at least thats how i read the book.the emissaries sent by sauron to the dwarves are not actually designated by race but im betting they wernt orcs.sauron always tried to present a pleasant face before he went to open war,and i dont think a mass of muscle,teeth and an overwhelming desire to eat everyone who isnt an orc would be a fitting diplomat!i just wonder if a man (man of darkness maybe?) would be more believable seeing as sauron controlled them all directly or indirectly anyway.
