    Default Egyptian General

My family member's bodyguard used to be chariot archers, but now it's just cavalry?

    When did this change?

when you build an upper tier government building (i forget the name, i havent played in a while) you get the upgraded generals bodygaurd. Unfortunetly for egypt the "upgraded" general gets normal calvary, im pretty sure its attack and stuff is higher but its definitly not as cool.

I'm fairly certain that when you upgrade to a Huge City (build an Imperial Palace, Royal Palace, etc.), your faction gets the upgraded guards. While most factions get better units (Barbarian Chosen Warlords, Roman Armored General, General's Armored Bodyguards, and Armored Eastern Generals), the Egyptians switch from chariots to cavalry. The stats are better, but you lose the free chariots.
In this day and age, there are two kinds of people: people with sticks, and people with bigger sticks.
