Your favourite unit

Hey guys. I was looking some other forums, and they had a topic where people would talk about their favourite units. I decided to create this so that people could share with the others their strategy and likes.

I will start

Favourite Unit: Nurgle Chosen (Dismounted)


Why: I like their models, and the fact that they have 2 HP, they last more than other units, so more kills and surviability

Strategy: No much to be told here, playing as Nurgle, I usually send then to the front line for their high defense and 2HP, lasting more and inspiring fear on the enemy

Curiosity: Their armor upgrade make their belly grow, making then fat and disguting

For me it's the dark elves ranged units: all of them.
I like the repeating crossbows for their insane reload time and the fact that they can pretty much annihilate any number of unarmoured enemies.
I also like the reapers, because they are unique in their models, and although they have a long load time... 6 bolts at once!
(I also like changing the edu so that the crossbows fire "hellcannon_shot", one unit can destroy a fullstack of bloodletters!)

Indeed, there is nothing better than a wall of halberds versus everything else. except, cannons and morters.....

should have save that pic, had my advancing halberdiers just get demolish by cannons. Usually, they fly right past, really bad luck in that battle.

I just love them since i played one in Wh RPG, i like all units in dwarf faction, but well... slayers are just the coolest

ahah im not a fan of dwarf but i do think the best representation of the dwarf race is in warhammer and thats mostly cause slayers are just so badass

Blackguards in Guard mode....Triple halberd wall is just simply the best looking unit/formation out there.


Grave guard. Cheap. Fearless. Merciless.


Blood dragons. My last game a single unit of FOOTMEN blood guards killed 1700 goblins and routed the whole army. It was a single unit vs over 3,700 goblins. They killed 1700 and routed the rest. Do you know how many casualties they took after necromancy? 23. thats over 77 kills per blood dragon. Simply NUTS. Mounted blood dragons are nuts too, my best with them is 1500 kills 0 losses raping empire swordsmen.


bare bones (lol) skeleton horsemen. Decimates enemy ranged infantry. They suck and will probably die but you can ressurect almost every single one of them after a battle. Disposable as toilet paper.


Wolf riders. Awesome skirmish units with just so much utility. Fighting pikers? circle them and shoot them to death. fighting lots of ranged units? CHARGE. Fighting a unit you cant take 1v1? Kite them and when you run out of arrows, charge them. they also look sweet. (no screenz)

Well i like orkz too, i like all Warhammer lore, but if this green savage, dirty, and smelly barbarians trying to stell my hard worked gold... they will die in pain

Favourite unit ? Really not an easy question.
There so much good and beautifull units, damn, this is a very hard question indeed

However, i have to say that the knights of the Empire are really so good and beautifull, whether they are knight wolves, black guard of morrs, knights of the blazing sun, reiksguards or knights of the panther. Those units always gave me the victory, this coupled with pistoliers. So my 2nd best troop would be pistoliers. There are so good to harass ennemy's heavy infantry.

Can't just pick one . So Shades for their awsome ambush tactics with repeater crossbows and they can handle low to medium infantry in meele. A
And Blood dragons on foot for their simple awsomness. when 4000 skeletons fail 100 blood dragons won't .

Mine are Fire Wizards because their attack is awesome and wizards are an awesome feature anyway.
They can blow up everything
