Sorry if this has already been answered but I did not find it.
When playing the HRE, which provinces do I need to possess to be elected Emperor of the HRE?

None. There is no "election" system. But if you want things like that, you should try dHRR
The Enemy of Human Souls

Yes, that is what I mean, which provinces do I have to possess to trigger the HRE crown event.
Metz, Groningen Antwerpen in the West, Milano, Genua, Bologna in the South, Prague, Vienna, Breslau, Stettin in the East and Hamburg in the North.
The only one I could thing that is missing is Thorn, but Poland is too strong to attack
But if this is the last one to take... en garde!
Ah ok, I will get him to Frankurt then,..
Alright, I'll take a look into the script then
Edit: It seems you must put your faction leader in Frankfurt, and the AI will get it anyway.

Mmh, It did not work yet. Moved him to Frankfurt and rested him there for 2 rounds. Maybe the Faction Leader has already to many titles?
Anyway, thanks for your help!
Depends what version you're playing, the trigger in my file (SS6.2) shows:
Trigger crown_hre
WhenToTest CharacterTurnEnd
Condition IsFactionLeader
and EndedInSettlement
and FactionType hre
and I_SettlementOwner Stettin = hre
and I_SettlementOwner Hamburg = hre
and I_SettlementOwner Magdeburg = hre
and I_SettlementOwner Frankfurt = hre
and I_SettlementOwner Metz = hre
and I_SettlementOwner Nuremburg = hre
and I_SettlementOwner Hohenstauffen = hre
and I_SettlementOwner Vienna = hre
and I_SettlementOwner Salzburg = hre
and I_SettlementOwner Worms = hre
and I_SettlementOwner Innsbruck = hre
and not FactionwideAncillaryExists crown_hre
AcquireAncillary crown_hre chance 100
Which is interesting because I don't have a province or settlement named "Worms" on my map
Then simply remove the Worms line, or put a ";" in front of it.
Your trigger is different, probably because I play RR/RC.

Yeah, or replace it with Cologne maybe. The Hungary trigger is broken also, haven't looked at the others, they definitely need work though.
Thanks for giving some more detailed information.
What is the name of the files/folder that do contain the "trigger crown scripts" within the SS folder?
is this crown event in 6.1?
I don't think so, I believe it is in only included in 6.2.
@ Otto Kongo: in \MTW2\mods\SS\data, called export_descr_ancillaries.txt
Look for the trigger section. But if you intend to mod it, better search for a tutorial first![]()
