need new MP partner

well, i just finished my first MPC last night, my opponent bowed out after 109 turns of hard fighting. we're gonna start a new campaign eventually, but he's leaving soon on business, so i could use another partner for the MPC if anyone is interested. if you reply just make sure you do so with the intent of playing through until one of us has clearly won. bear in mind these campaigns take a lot of time, so be prepared to make a time investment. also, these campaigns entail a good amount of crashes, restarts, and refought battles, so you'll need to approach it with a patient attitude. we'll do 3 minute turns if possible (in order to keep the game moving quickly - i know it's not enough time) and we're not going to ally, this is a head to head thing.

let me know if anyone wants to play.

Did you ever - in the course of that epic 109 turn game (congrats, btw) - find that the game wasn't allowing you to fight battles; that the option was grayed out and the only thing you could do was autoresolve? My friend and I are trying our best to play a short campaign but we can't do it anymore because of this problem. Any advice would be of great help. Thanks in advance for any clues you can give us.

whoever is hosting... did you attempt to change any settings at all in the course of your campaign?

the way to fix it is go back to a save taken before the autoresolve bug began. Manually share that save with your friend then resume playing from that point. that should work, but i wonder if anyone has figured out what causes the autoresolve bug?

I'm only going to reply once in here so as not to hijack your thread (btw I am interested in playing some MPC with you if you'll post what times you expect me to be on) but I have not changed any settings in the course of the campaign.

If I have to go back to where this wasn't happening it will be a loss of about 5 turns...acceptable I suppose. Thanks.

don't worry about the hijack. yeah there is no known way to fix the bug once it appears without regressing by at least one turn. also the link provided in the other thread won't work, me and my partner mowers each clicked out own choice more than enough to discredit the theory that a mismatch in battle selections is the cause.

btw, do u really wanna play or are you just being nice since i answered your question? hahah. if you wanna play and you're not buying napoleon then that'd be great, just tell me when you wanna be online and i'll meet you then. but please don't bother to respond back if you're not serious about it, it would be frustrating to play 20 turns and then you lose interest... i'm sure you understand.

How do you solve the desync when you fight a battle involving a settlement/town/city?

After a 100+ turn game you must know lol

There was never a desynch problem with settlement/town/city.

I personally believe, because I have seen it in paradox games with early codes, is that you need to reset ALL settings after the person has joined each and every time. Since I did that I have never had a problem.
Could be unrelated but it became my good luck charm.

Nelson: i'd say thatyou should start reloading saves going back in time until you find one that lets you continue to play without the battle desyncing.
