Wonderful, at 16.41 minutes, army is crossing the water, the river...And we see corpses floating in the river!

At 8.03 ottomans' army marching music for the first time heard!

Looks good. Nice tunes, better suburbs. Better maps wich better relate to the campaign map this time. There's a crossed swords icon on the campaign map too (12:27), so maybe (player created) monumental battlefield markers are back. I love those little things. I don't think the bodies are floating in the river, like after BI? Kingdoms? I hope you're right man, but if you ask me they fell on the landbridge just short of the water, probably not possible in this engine

AI and diplomacy seem pretty bad, but I like the extra options. Conquered city options are back? At last. Liberation option? Wasn't that a good idea CA eh? But wonderful. Those 'little' things make a game I'll have my prisoner screenshot now. I'm just hoping it's stable, no ctd's anymore. Can't really identify a melee bug, sometimes going in is a better option, although I doubt our beloved AI would know

I'm not buying yet, but I look forward to your reviews this weekend! It doesn't look like a total failure... au contraire, but so did...

Some things I learned from this which you might miss if you don't speak German:
    - there is a "loot" option when conquering a city (sometimes also "liberate" he says)
    - you can now sabotage armies (I had heard that before though)
    - armies in your own province regenerate if a general is in it (depends on "depots" in that region)
    - the general with the higher command rank deploys his troops after the other, i.e. you can see where his troops are
    - haha, the guy tries to gift the looted regions Croatia and Austria to his Spanish ally and they refuse, he has to add Corsica

Nice layout, the ability to see the deployment of your enemy first if you have a higher command general is a nice touch only let down by the boring terrain (perhaps understandable in a desert).

AI behaviour strange, first they attack when they are supposed to be defending why? This happened a lot in ETW and made no sense.

Infantry units still chase after cavalry when in fact they have no need, the fact that they are meant to be the defending army only makes this behaviour even more foolish.

I believe it's because they're outnumbered and can't hope to hold up against such a force, so they take the initiative (better than standing around taking cannonfire to the face, eh?)

I know I'd do the same thing. Of course, this might be circumstantial. If they charge against a weaker force, we'll know there's something up

My mistake I checked again and numerically the AI was the stronger force so you could be right, still I think it would have been better if they had waited for the French to close the distance.

The marching music is a nice addition. It made it about half way then stopped streaming. Has not budged for about 5 mins.
May your road lead you to warm sands.

Guys, if you look at the unit type, the ottomans had 80% swordsmen, only like 3 ranged troops. It s hard to avoid melee when that is all you can do, and it is hard to sit around on defense when you have no guns...

This. For example, when you play Russia in ETW it's absolutely necessary to charge after one volley. The AI should do the same.

Probably blowing up their ammo. Or that the enemy's army has fewer units then before.

He doesn't say... doesn't something like this exist in Warpath where they lose their movement points?

nice video showing a lot of stuff, but the narrator was saying a lot of bs. For example he said that it is a new feature to demand a surrender...and right before he started the campaign he said that he was showing us the game "empire total war" xD

This reviewer was an unexperienced Total War player. Look at the way he placed his troops to defend the bridge and the crossing. Almost placing them in 90 degree angles where's just facing would have been more effecient and safer. Enemy arty ripping on your troop's flanks...good game...

I guess for people like this reviewer, the BAI can be a challenge...
