RTW Gold - Dl'ing the Mod

I updated the game to patch 1.6. It was 4 cd's in total, 3 for RTW, and 1 for BI. My question is for 1.6 and 1.6a, do I download and use the BI cd? or do I use the RTW cd? I am thinking BI, but can someone confirm for me please.

It only asked to patch it to 1.6 and it said it would update both RTW and BI to the right patches, so I did that.

Been watching Rome the tv series, and it has me jonesing to play again. Was gonna wait until 2, but can't, lol.

Since it's RTW Gold, that means your version has all the patches for RTW and the patch for BI already included during installation. Since RS was designed to work with the RTW 1.5 patch and can be played with BI, you should be safe play with the BI disc.

I haven't tried it myself, although I do own both, but the AI in BI is slightly smarter than that in RTW, so you should get a better gameplay experience. Plus, I hear seeing the barbarians swim across rivers is a sight to behold for yourself. Enjoy.

A related question.

Anyone have any ideas where I can download BI from?

I wanted to reinstall RS again myself. But my BI disk is all scratched.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

RTW Gold should be relatively cheap wherever you look for it, since RTW has been on the market over five years and BI over four years. The only retailers that I know of that may still carry it are Target or Wal-Mart, but you never know. A sure place to find it is Amazon, since they always have it in stock and it's pretty cheap at about $20.
