start date of Napoleon TW

I know the Italian Campaign is 1796 and the Egyptian Campaign is 1798 but does anyone know when the more general third campaign will start? What year? Thx in advance

1805 I believe, start of the Third Coalition, UK/Austria/Russia VS France/Spain/satellites in Germany and Italy. Prussia stayed neutral for the moment.

Oh, this is actually some cool news. I was under the impression that France started with no allies. So in actuality its not three on one as has been portrayed but actually three major powers against France and France's own allies?

Shogun Total war yeah about 10 years ago lol.

Might still have the CD laying around my cellar somewhere if I wanted to look. Doubt I could ever get it too work on Windows 7 though.

I wonder i messages will pop up when the fourth, fifth and sixth coalitions are formed, but since you are free to ally with anyone that probably wont happen

You guys realize, that's roughly 52 turns for the first two campaigns, and then nearly 300 for the last (260 to be exact).

In reality, there is no limit to turns. The player is free to play past the end date.

I think that's only for the campaigns of the coalition; I don't think you're able to play past the end dates for story mode.

the game goes from 1805 to late december 1812 according to the "historic" goals for the campaign of coalition

Good thing about the 2 weeks per turn model is that you can play alot and not go way over the into the 1900s with gunpowder units so easily

the game starts in 1805? Crap I saw a screenshot where someone as England took over all of france by October 1806. I was hoping it would at least take 6 years to take out the most powerful country in all of Europe instead of barely 2 years...
