Should've CA Focused More on the SP Experience?

Does anyone think CA should've focused more on the solo players rather than the multiplayers?

All the reviews sites point towards the SP experience being close to the same as Empire, plus weak, passive CAI.

Well I don't want anyone drpping into my battles. I'm a classic SP kind of person, and I want a 100% SP experience that is good and fun.

I agree MP is way overrated.

In 10 years when AI can actually compete with people, they should start focusing on AI some more. Until then, get a friend and do some MP either with drop-in battles or MP campaign for the ultimate experience.

I don't have friends that aren't even interested im playing on the PC, let alone playing total war games. They just play Modern Warfare 2 24/7, so no, I can't get friends to play with.

Yes I also know no one in ETW besides the clan I joined, but you can ask people to start campaigns on the forums or just do random drop-in battles. Once you fight even the worst human opponent, the AI is just boring and redundant to play.

It's hard for me to play MP for games like this, sometimes. I live in an rural town in New England and my internet provider is pretty unreliable sometimes.
Besides, past experience has shown that I suck at playing strategy games with other people. I've tried playing ETW's multiplayer, but I got horribbly defeated or the guy quit.

CA = Creative Assembly, the developers behind Total War

SP = Singleplayer.

CA means Creative Assembly and SP means SinglePlayer.

I like both MP and SP so i'm not really bothered what they focus on more.

Although i would like to see MP improved, such as objectives on the battlefield i.e take an hold certain 'victory' points on the map or a certain hill, building etc...

CA is far far far.............................................................................................. far far far away from focusing on MP. They would do very good and enrich the franchise so much if they would really focus on MP in future.

Ehhh I think the vast majority of players play SP. They should probably fix the stupidity of the campaign AI at least before focusing on how to make the ultimate grassy flatlands experience for minorities like you.

You should always focus on making the SP game playable before you make the MP game playable. They did neither.

SP players may get the impression that CA "focused" on MP, but an MPC that's not called "Beta" anymore and a lobby that's added to the MP battles, I didn't see much MP improvement in the videos I saw TBH.

YMMV; I did find ETW SP playable, MP sort of is a pain.
Thing is, it really looks to me CA did focus on SP with NTW with all the story-based campaigns... that's fine by me.
However, very little effort would be required to multiply the MP experience and I do think CA is missing out on that. It's not like the MP community demands they put millions of dollars in that, but the quarter-hearted game browser in ETW? A slap in the face, almost.

I've been playing the TW series of games since 2004 and I have never played Multiplayer in any of those games. For Multiplayer I play COD4 and COD5.

No, multiplayer all the way, now with the MP campaigns, i will be mostly focusing on MP! ANd with the new speak option, even better!
