Start dates for campaign in STW and MI

What year does the campaign start for STW and also MI?
I'm putting all the games in chronological order to play and this is the only game I can't find the start date for. Are there three dates like MTW or just one starting year?

Any answers would be appreciated and helpful. Thx in advance guys

How about installing the game and looking at the campaign menu?

But serious now, the Gold edition has the start dates 1530, 1560 and 1580 to select iirc (haven´t played the game for many months). Mongol invasion starts somewhere in the 1270s.

Hello guys,

Xerrop is fairly right, STW standard-campaigns starts at; 1530, 1550, 1580. MI-campaign starts at 1274.
All this according to the warlord-edition I got installed (I don’t think the original game deviates from that.
Although, I don’t have that installed currently). BTW, this thread probably belongs the STW-section.

One small note: The original Shogun:TW campaign was the Sengoku Jidai (starting in 1530).

All others 1530 (same year but much fewer starting provinces), 1550 und 1580 were only introduced with the Mongol Invasion-add on. So it got similar to MTW allowing you to start with Teppos (gunpowder units) by selecting the later campaigns.
