    Default If call of warhammer can do it, why cant we??! :P

    i was just taking a look through the unit previews for the Call of Warrhammer factions and noticed some units that look like they could help things in Third Age:



    people have been saying that a flying Nazgul unit would be impossible to create, but look what CoW made!
    , ok admitedly they dont fly that high off the ground but surely that could be changed to make them fly higher?


    people have been suggesting white wolves as a unit for a possible shards of angmar faction, wolves which could look like these,: and then made into a unit like this

    here's also a unit idea for the VoA faction makers


    and last but not least, this bad ass!
    this guy could be reskinned to look like the balrog, that way people could stop getting annoyed about there being more than one in a unit!

    now dont get me wrong im not saying that the Third Age team should steal the CoW teams stuff, im just suggesting that if they share ideas it could benifit everybody!

    Well...actually nobody said nazguls are impossible, just the medieval engine isn't made for flying creatures ---> buggy
    And please don't start another long discussion about single man units...

    it doesnt need to be a long discussion, there was only one balrog, so it should be in a single man unit, which CoW have shown can be done

    It is not possible on huge unit scale.

    why not make the default unit size smaller and 'overclock' the other units. they wont be as big as they are now but do they honestly need to be? big units are just buggy, get stuck on walls and have pathfinding issues

    the bigger armies are better for immersion, and i didnt realise that it wasnt possible to have single units on huge scale, as i presumed that the CoW people had their units on huge scale

    Its not impossible I guess, but it would look bad in-game just like in Fourth Age TW.

    yeah you might have a point there, but i didnt so much put this thread together for stuff i'd like to see, i just know other people have discussed it before and i just wanted to point out that it HAS been done

    dont theink the COW people would be too happy about us stealing theit modles... and all of those things are possible but buggy, and not nessesary by any meens.

    im not saying we steal them!! i just thought that since the Ruschi Total war team are going to share their bear units for the VoA submod, then maybe makers of other mods would be open to sharing

    While i don`t like an angmar faction i have to admit that hovering wraiths would look quite cool. Still Wraiths couldn`t leave their bruial mounds.

    im talking about a reminents of angmar faction, not nessesarily led by the witch king, but there's a whole other tread for that disscussion! they could also be used for the army of the dead, which many people seem to be pining for

    I'm really tired of you people using screenshots from other mods as a means to pressure this team.

    The OP's statements about Nazgul and wolves aren't even correct (and I'm pretty sure that Demon hasn't been implemented into the CoW mod due to obvious technical difficulties) and we already have Angmar and single unit threads.
