Music problems

I've edited the music for the mod, but it's not showing up in game. The Frontend is always "Dry Well", even when I completely erase "Dry Well" from the descr_sounds_music"

Did you delete events.dat and events.idx?? in the sound folder?? the music you added was mp3 files yes??

I know how to add music, but I did not delete the events stoof. Now to go and test this, QAPLAAAAWW


Yes, that worked. I had to delete all the stuff, not just the events, but the Music and SFX and Voice DAT and IDX's

Okay new problem. Obviously just deleting all of it wasn't a good idea, but now I can't get the customized music to play without causing the sound effects to be deleted as well (as in, when clicking on the menu bar buttons, no sound is made)

`Thats because you didnt need to delete everything just the files i mentioned as the tutorial also stated i have added music and it worked .

I hope you madea back up of the files you deleted ?? if not try the files from vanillia to get it all working again then just delete the files i said have you properly filled in all the descr_sound.txt files and the descr_sound_music_type files??

please follow the guide i gave a link to it works i have used it many times (the teutonics for me fight to heavy metal music LOL).

But i am not sure why you need help you quite radically say you know how to add music well good luck then .

I fixed it, but I'm having another major annoyance. I literally have no idea what in the hell this game is doing with regards to the music. I add some new music to the main menu music to play first, and it does not play first. In fact, it doesn't matter what order I put the songs in, it ALWAYS selects just ONE song to play first, regardless of what position it's in.

I had to remove that song from the list entirely just to get it to play another song first.

ok i used the method with the mod folder.
the front end always works.

then i modified the music for nothern european factions

battle, campaignmap, etc
i tested it with teutonic order, hre, danmark wales and england
it works fine for england and wales but not the other mentioned factions. isnt that weird? anybody a idea what happened here and how to fix it?
