Default Is there any way to sell the game?

    Two bitter facts:

1.) I'm pretty sure CA wont award the buyers of the Special Forces Edition. I even bought the USS Contitution over eBay and the first unit DLC. Knowing CA though they will let us buy the good units for NTW again.

2.) Yesterday I started playing again. I was really looking forward to it and it was fun for the first 30 minuts. Then the weapons disappeared together with canons, buildings and woods. I was told it's a known problem with newer Forceware-drivers and the only way around would be to downgrade. Cannot do though, as never drivers are generally good for 99,99% of the games on the market (ETW is the 0,01%).

So the game definitely died for me last night. Before the disappearing-bug I was definitely planning to keep the game because I really love the era the game takes place in. But technical problems wont let me.

Is there any way to sell the game? It's bound to my Steam account, I know.

But now that it shows a technical fault aren't Sega/CA comitted by law to support it, or else take it back?

If you want to re-sell steam games, make a separate steam account for each game you buy. You can then sell the account.

    Otherwise -no.

Due to Steam, you are stuck with it unless you sell or give away you Steam account and EVERYTHING attached to it.

Also, sorry but there's no recourse for crappy game software except to buy games not tied to steam, so at least that way you can unload it if it's trash.

The game industry had gotten away far too long hiding user the "can't return software because of piracy" arguement. I hope someday that changes to hold lazy developers accountable for releasing garbage. This method of "release now, patch to completion over the next year, if ever" has got to stop!

The extra development time will allow us to finalize and polish Empire, making it the most accomplished and epic of the Total War series." said Kieran Brigden, Studio Communications Manager at The Creative Assembly. "There is a great deal of anticipation around Empire: Total War and we want to ensure that it is the benchmark for strategy games upon its release.

    I found this: http://modernwarfare.4players.de/boa...d-um/?b5a688e3

Sorry, only for the german forum members, but basically this is what happened:

A guy had serious problems playing CoD Modern Warfare 2 online. Because this should normally be an essential part of the game he opened a Steam support ticket on the case and requested a refund. Over numerous answers and posts he insisted again and again as the support clearly showed it's inability to offer any real support on the problem itself.

In the end Steam refundet the game. Amazing. I would call it a original precedent. I think I will definitely open a Steam support ticket. No doubt they will say I need to contact the CA support, which I will do then. No doubt they will tell me to contact Sega --> will also do it. And Sega will bounce me off, too. Let's see what the different companies say when I confront them with their partners replies...

But still a few weeks full of work. I'll start the operation once I have more free time.

Ah, the good ol' days when one could trade in PC games for credit as Gamespot. Now they no longer take ANY PC games.
