    Default RS with Alexander

The Alexander xpac is the only Total War software I do not own going back to Shogun (cept for Empire, need a new comp first).

I was just wondering what, if anything it adds to Rome: Total War and Roma Surrectum.

Is the AI increase worth purchasing Alexander? Does it add anything else such as how BI added things like night battles, swimming, and the shield wall?

Does it add other stuff, yes. Are any of them used in RS, no. You have a larger model (not unit) limit, faction specific mercs, a couple of extra diplomacy settings such as forcing two factions not to attack each other.

It depends upon how much you spend when purchasing Alexander....... I've been usig the Alexander exe for RTW based mods for a few years. I did buy RTW Alexander just for that.

Every place I've looked has it for around $29.99 US. Not sure if that's worth it. Especially when it was like $14.99 US when it first came out.
