    http://www.fz.se/artiklar/20100219/napoleon-total-war

"Even the smallest person can change the course of the future" said Galadriel in an attempt to comfort a big-footed, hairy hobbit. But it might as well have been the mother of one of history's most glorified despots who spoke the winged words.

Sometimes, war can be a bit unmanageable. Troops all over the world, too many angry neighbors to appease, to threaten and practice of diplomacy. We see no end to the protracted conflict, and forget after a while away why and for whom it runs.

I therefore applaud the scale of the Napoleonic: Total War. From the small, intense invasion of Italy and the suppression of Austria, through my foray into Egypt and the plunder of Cairo, to the fateful fight against Russia and the fatal end of Waterloo, I feel a presence that no previous Total War titles has given me. I do not care about the first two campaigns did not allow me to practice diplomacy which I want, or that the technology tree is available from the beginning.

I do not care if I encounter scripted events for me on through an almost snitslad orbit. To my knowledge of history! You know, those wings which slowed dramatically in the Empire as soon as you which Swedish conquered Moscow and continued marchen further east. Or when the British wiped out France as a nation. Or when Denmark became the largest colon uniforms cents in world history, with an empire that the British could only dream about. Then it became more a matter of administration and logistics of an alternative historical demolition which always seemed a bit skewed.

Napoleon should remedy all this, but for the majority to exclude those who love it myself, tired of. The third campaign, after Italy and Egypt, deals with Napoleon's total domination of Europe. This is the freedom that much greater, and the whole of Europe is yours to do with what you want. Since it is possible to take up the fight with the megalomaniske dwarf and fight as one of Austria, Britain, Prussia and Russia in the coalition campaign, all of which gives the opportunity to play historical or more classic, free campaigns for world domination.

But the biggest reason to buy this pseudo-sequel to one of last year's absolute best games must still be new, sleek online opportunities. To begin with, can now have a friend or complete stranger be the one sitting on the General horse across the battlefield or stem crown ship flying the flag far away on the horizon, right in your own single player campaign. On the eve of battle, you are namely the choice if you want to invite a human opponent to command the enemy. An incredibly tantalizing concept, although it proved to be somewhat limited.

    Europe 1on1

My biggest hope was to avoid the AI resistance in those runs where I was greatly superior. To ensure a correct strategiräv as opponents, argues andes only militia and an artillery unit. What a tragedy! What is the potential for epic hero wins! Because when you yourself are at a disadvantage against the AI is often a good chance that at least decimate the opposition properly, give them a Pyrrhic victory and fall with honor intact. This would prove to be a pipe dream. For some reason, matched only in battles where the conditions are reasonably smooth. Shame.

But the corners of his mouth turn upward again for the chance to play a full campaign against the human resistance. Creative has arranged it so that waiting times lick you traditionally have to endure in such games may be shortened considerably, either by setting a deadline or attend to your own kingdom in the meantime. The only thing you can do during the waiting period is to exert diplomatic, moving units and fighting. Fantastic! It is this part of the game that will suck the most time for me and many others to come, and Creative has finally taken a big step towards meeting the aspirations of the community went on about since Hedenhös.

Along with technical and game-related news that is more smoke and explosions, a slightly improved pathfinding, AI and generals who now fills a real function, with the conspicuous inflytelsecirkeln the boasting, Napoleon becomes a natural step to take when Empires embers cooled. Full credits were to be absent due to deficiencies Creative never seems to clear up: sieges are terrible stories that we are best avoided, and the campaign AI will still greatly screwdrivers and then. Yet everything else is suffering at the little general, attracts the game room, and my dreams are grand adventures on the battlefield and women at the nail straight part of the beautiful uniforms of victories and killed in places with gunpowder smoked fragrant names Ligny, Austerlitz and Waterloo.

Seems to solidify the other reviews

    -Much better than ETW
    -Less freedom, but well-done
    -Better Graphics
-Average AI (does the bare nessecities, dosen't screw up like ETWs)
-Better multiplayer, seems to be the focus

The reviews seem to be a lot fairer as well, no one seems to be giving all time great scores like last times poor effort. This should be a building block from which CA can work from. Lets hope they give the fans the big addition of Mod tools and return some of the loyalty many of us have paid to this series in the last 10 years of buying there games, even the over priced special additions.

The review is well done and NTW seems to be a good game. But Kieran seems to have greatly overexaggerated the improvments on the AI (both BAI and CAI). I remember him saying that the AI buils at empire 1.5's AI, but it seems to me that they took 1.5's AI, made a few minor changes, and left it at that. Still, the game seems to be pretty darn good.

Still not sure if I can justify a purchase though.

The extra development time will allow us to finalize and polish Empire, making it the most accomplished and epic of the Total War series." said Kieran Brigden, Studio Communications Manager at The Creative Assembly. "There is a great deal of anticipation around Empire: Total War and we want to ensure that it is the benchmark for strategy games upon its release.

They might be CA's depiction of the Coptic Legion, Christian Egyptians recruited by the French during the Egyptian campaign. I was always under the impression that they wore green uniforms, but I won't nitpick. Even the French soldiers had, after a while, to wear anything they could get. So why would the Egyptian volunteers appear in full regulation uniforms?

but take a look behind the first british line, theres a crater and right next to it three dead soldiers in the same pose i thought they would have a physics system...
