Ah the AI bonus exp dont worry that wont come into effect at all unless you have the campaign script to match (it has to have the counter is the AI in it ) without that it will work in every regards as a normal EDB will
AI men will be recruited as normal experience men without this script so will work for you perfectly.
no umm.. i messed it up i a made a mistake and i cant find it so i need an
unmessed up copy because the game doesnt work

Well you will completely unbalance the game but sure just copy the entries for the units you wish to keep and place them in the higher level buildings you wish to still recruit them . When the late stages hit though my guess you will A storm the Ai as you will only do this for the faction your using meaning you can recruit many more men than the AI
or B the AI will storm you if you do it for all factions as the AI has alot more money than you and now with this extra recruitment you want to give will swamp ya to your eye ballsHistory shows the phasing out of early era troops like knights and the recruitment reflects this but as always its your game play it as you wish
(dont do a what the op did make a back up copy of anything your going to mod cause if you make a mess of it or decide darn he was right and want to restore it to how it was then you have the file to do it

wont it be just like in vanilla were you can recriut anything in the last age?
MOD THE AI LOL re read my posts(there is nothing about modding AI there is a mention about AI getting xp bonus and how to avoid that )It wont be like vanillia as it is a mod eg has been changed from vanillia it has different recruitment priorities to vanillia it has different scripting to vanillia .
It has been balanced to be played this way for 1 historical reasons and for game balance hey dont listen to me just add the men in where you want to recruit them as i said its your game to play as you wish I merely stated some possible pit falls to such work .
Yeah i always mod it by hand with notepad works fine (rememeber makea back up copy of the original file incase you make a mistake as a mistake in this file will crash the game and or if you wish to return to original recruitment![]()
okay so i replaced a "1" with a "2" something random and it works so i pressed the replace buttoun and replaced all the 1's with 2's and it crashes so is thier a limit to how many changes you could make and does your game have to be unpacked?

Ah forgive my ignorance but what 1s are you speaking of if you mean All the number 1s in the EDB yeah that will cause some problemsas there is max numbers that can be applied in the EDB.
But as far as to how much you can mod it near on no limit i have added a whole other tech tree(the apacheans) and it works fine i am also trying to work on a schooling system by way of buildings and thus far NP and its made the EDB 45% larger than the standard EDB.
Hard i know but you will have to make each change methodically and individually welcome to the world of modding hope you dont mind crashes because as a modder you will get them and have to learn about there causes
Edit no you dont have to unpack vanillia as KGCM is in an unpacked format and has the mod switch in the cfg (eg the game will read the mods files first before if it cant find it reading vanillia as it does in some files cases .
