Need to get a new monitor
My current monitor is dying or dead, it was an AOC lm929, 19" 1280x1024 LCD. I've had it for a good ~4 years I think.
I intend to get another 19" 1280x1024, because I spend most of my time programming and additional width isn't better than additional height. I don't want a higher dpi because it would be a pain to adjust settings all the time so I could read text. I barely play any new games, and in general the old games I play don't support widescreen or higher resolutions very well anyway.
I don't want to spend more than necessary, I'm assuming somewhere in the $100-$200 range. I just don't want to get something too cheap and have it die quickly or have problems. My video card is an X1900XT 512 MB, so it has to have a DVI connection.
Any good ideas?

Re: Need to get a new monitor
If you don't have a DVI to VGA adaptor and you want a native DVI montior then the NEC AS191-BK Black or the ViewSonic VA926 tick all the boxes. If you do have an adaptor there are cheaper models like Hanns·G HX-191DPB or you might want to take a stab at buying a 2nd Dell monitor of Ebay, I use Dell and home and work and I swear by them there great screens.
