Default Will unpacking my installation improve performance?

Hi all, I've finally got a gaming rig and immediately installed MTW2/DLV and I'm wow what a development! This mod just keeps getting better and better. I'm shocked at why this mod isn't regulary voted as the best for MTW2 - none of the others come close!

One grip I have though is the mod adds more resources on the system, but that is expected,m nethertheless I would like to try and increase the performance. Will unpacking my MTW2 installation be of any help?

Another thing I hope I can get an answer to is why do foreign agents look like their interacting with me during the turn process, but don't actually do anything? This is frustrating as it adds atleast 10-20 seconds or more of waiting time! Anyway to fix this? And just to clarify - I AM NOT talking about pressing space bar to increase speed cos I do that always anyway!

the anwser to your first question is, no that wont help performance, the answer to your second question is, they do this in every mod ive always assumed they are trying to bribe you.

Jaketh is correct, if they are a bordering nation - then they are bribing your settlement. There should be no fear reflecting this. However, it's a sign of the enemy mustering it's forces and is about to engage. You can counter this by increasing your own garrison in that peticular settlement, or send in your forces to the enemy region. Let them put up camp, and this will put pressure on them, and engage your offencive dispatchment.

If the loading time is to much to bear, then you can search it up (mini-mod & main DLV), because it was solved not long ago.
Thorolf was thus armed. Then Thorolf became so furious that he cast his shield on his back, and, grasping his halberd with both hands, bounded forward dealing cut and thrust on either side. Men sprang away from him both ways, but he slew many. Thus he cleared the way forward to earl Hring's standard, and then nothing could stop him. He slew the man who bore the earl's standard, and cut down the standard-pole. After that he lunged with his halberd at the earl's breast, driving it right through mail and body, so that it came out at the shoulders; and he lifted him up on the halberd over his head, and planted the butt-end in the ground. There on the weapon the earl breathed out his life in sight of all, both friends and foes. [...] 53, Egil's Saga
I must tell you here of some amusing tricks the Comte d'Eu played on us. I had made a sort of house for myself in which my knights and I used to eat, sitting so as to get the light from the door, which, as it happened, faced the Comte d'Eu's quarters. The count, who was a very ingenious fellow, had rigged up a miniature ballistic machine with which he could throw stones into my tent. He would watch us as we were having our meal, adjust his machine to suit the length of our table, and then let fly at us, breaking our pots and glasses.
