Default Mod idea: Total war custom

Well i've doing som thinking, and i came to the conclusion that a way to make people enjoy one off battles more would be to let them invest more in the armies.

    So here is my proposal.

The mod itself is an empty shell. and along with it you get a set of files and tools.
These files and tools contains the resources for the players to build their own factions, and texturize their own units.

This would give the experience players of miniature wargames get when they collect and play their armies.

And when you play another player you send your bundled files to each other. Enter them into the mod and then play battles against each other.

    What is needed.

Basic, the ability to retexture your units. Loading and unloading resources from the mod.

Advanced, a program that lets the player(governed from a set of rules), create their own factions.

Advanced +, lets the player pick together meshes for their units.

    Ehh... that's essentially modding.

    yes but the difference is:

at the moment its only groups of modders who toil on making huge mods and give out.

this would give the average player the ability to custom make his own faction. and play it against other players with their custom made factions.

this would require the average player to become a decent modder. if you were one you would realize the folly of this idea.

oh ive been involved in a bunch of mods.
and no it does not demand that much of a skill.

    Usercase 1
Adam wants to play the holy roman empire, but he wants them to have his favourite colorm, green. Adam opens the "Army Customizer" mod and gets the textures he needs exported. He then opens them up in a photoeditor of his choice and changes the colours, he then uses the "Army Customizer" to import the changed textures into a package of files consisting of all the files that army needs to be played.

    Usercase 2
Adam wants to play Bert, his best friend, with his modified Holy Roman Empire army, so he sends Bert a package in which all the relevant files of his changed army is located. Bert who has a modified English army sends his to Adam. They both use the Army Customizer to launch the game using the two file packages(which could be handled by some drag and drop or by just marking the folders you want in the game). Now Adam and Bert can play eachother using their own custom armies. When they end the game, the two armies are unmounted from the gamefile structure, ready for new armies.

This would let players make their own armies, by giving them a small and easu GUI to the simple operations of importing and exporting files and launching the game with certain addon files.
