    Default Conversion Rates

I find that the base conversion rates between religions changes. One primary example: You're a Catholic converting Protestants, you have a great priest, the enemy has no schools and no missionaries. You're conversion rate will be very low. If you're Catholic again, and converting animists or hindus- buddhists, then your going to have much higher conversion rates. My question is, what are the base conversion rates, have you experianced the same, and good ways of converting Protestants into Catholicism and vice-versa.

While I don't have the numbers, each religion in general converts at a different rate on top of each individual region converting at a different rate. I know Afghanistan, for example, is a pain to convert, but I can turn most of India into an almost universally catholic theatre in just a few years with only a few churches. Of course population plays a huge role in all of this as well. Most of the American provinces have tiny populations with the largest center being either Jamaica or Hispaniola or Cuba at around 400-500 thousand. They have 100's of thousands of people while, say, Georgia has only around 7 thousand.

Afganistan would be a pain to convert because they are Islamic. The rest of India is mainly Hindu. And population would explain why its a pain in the arse to convert New France.

I've noticed this, recently I colonised a Guyana province as Prussia and I bought a Priest along with me, the population was 80% Animism and my Priest converted it to a Protestant Region in like 2 or 3 turns :S. Whereas when I finished off mopping up Austria the conversion rate was going up like 1.0 :/. Wierd.

Thats what I mean. Just try converting the Hugenots of France. Even with religious buildings and a priest, they dont convert fast. Like half a percent to one percent a turn. Then again, France is very large.
