Metallica or Megadeth

So I was just wondering what TWC though about these two great Metal bands , so I'm posting this poll. Who is the best one in your opinion or do you love both equally? Cast your vote!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Personally I love both.

Also if you don't mind post your favorite songs by them.

Metallica, due to the lyrics.......................................and.................yeah, that's it.

They both have their advantages.

After Endgame: Megadeth

Overall, both bands are good so let me make a recap. Both bands 80's material are great (I like Metallica's first three albums and I like Megadeth's first and third album since the second one was a disappointment. Their fourth album Rust in Piece (well it was released in 1990) is their masterpiece unlike Metallica's ...And Justice for All, which was their worst 80's album.
The 90's were a bad period for both bands; while Megadeth started with RiP, their fifth album sucked (since there were actually two/three decent catchy Megadeth-like songs in it). Metallica's self-titled was as weak as Countdown to Extinction. After that both bands went downhill and Megadeth's worst album: Risk from 1999, was the fact that they had change their sound for good while Metallica's Load and ReLoad were less weak than Megadeth's album after COE.
The 00's: Metallica came with St. Anger aka their lowest point while Megadeth was slowly returning (The World needs a hero; the album still sucked) but kept on releasing mediocre albums like The System has Failed and United Abominations. Metallica released Death Magnetic, which wasn't a bad album (since it blew Megadeth's 00's albums out of the water) but it wasn't that much of a surprise that they returned to their roots. Later Megadeth decided that they would hire Chris Broderick (Nevermore's lead guitarist) and produced Endgame, which was IMO their best since Rust in Peace. And it crushed Metallica's Death Magnetic and Slayer's World Painted Blood.

Mega-deth without question....

Metallica for me

I don't really care for megadeth that much, but I guess I haven't listened to them much either.

How can anyone vote for Metallica unless you consider that the band died when the 80s ended?

Metallica. Their stuff up until the Black Album outdid anything Megadeth ever did, or ever will do. Plus Dave Mustaine is an utter bell end.

Anyway I voted Megadeth. Metallica's first four albums are great and all but after that they started to suck badly and sadly still does.
Megadeth much like Metallica started great, then they went down to decent, then sucked and now steadily worked their way upwards and endgame was a good album.

Metallica, its not even close its just a shame they disbanded in 1988...if only they had continued on who knows what they would have become. I respect Mustaine alot for music and for the short time he was with Metallica he did but he is and probably always will be an ass of course Lars is too much of a girl to be an ass so douche is much more fitting for him. Why oh why couldnt the bus land on Lars...there truly is no god.

But anyway: in the beginning it was difficult to listen to Megadeth with him but it slowly grew on me.
