Well, I don't know if my eyes fails me, but I'm pretty sure you have already published this preview : http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...om-of-Bulgaria.

No, this has been published today. The old bulgarian faction has been completely redone. I just copied it over the old preview (you may see the old one has been edited today) but I wanted for jurcek to publish it so that he got the credit for the remake.
Ah ok then, splendid work anyway.

Well done guys, Bulgaria should prove to be among the most interesting factions to play as.

Should the Tatar units not be Cuman instead?
There is basically no evidence of Tatars(which was basically a generic term for steppe peoples at this period) in Bulgaria at this time, while plenty of Cumans settled in Bulgaria and even merged with the Bulgarian nobility.
Heck, even the current ruling dynasty Sratsimir are also Cuman from the female side(as the Cuman warlords married their daughters to Bulgarian nobles in the 1280s).
Also, everything is looking awesome, the units are magnificent
Thanks for your words!
Well we did mention the preview that the Bulgarians will have Cuman units too. But we have already previewed the Cumans in the Roman preview so no point in showing them again (also reached the 100 picture limit so didn't want to add another post). Also, if you look at the Bulgarian Light Cavalry they have some Cuman influences in their clothing.
And the Bulgarians were allied with the Tatars to the point that the Tatars even ruled Turnovo at one point. There were allied Tatar forces at both Velbuzhd and Rusokastro. So it makes sense to have allied Tatar units as part of the roster.
Looking great!
Really impressive!

Very nice preview, great work
Amazing preview!
Not that I would know anything about Medieval Balkanese armies, but wasn't the kite shield like the Bulgarian Spearmen use them largely obsolete since well the 13th century, or did South Balkanese armies kept them longer in use than the rest of Europe?
There is custom battle ! You can burn some "kebab" there.
These are Ottomans. I would ask you the same if you were tortured for 350 years
Kite shield was used even by westernised serbian knights. I would say that kite shield like you see on this image was not that obsolete as you think.
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Yes the triangular ones are kite shields the one you posted is almond shield. They were both used in mid XIV century. The kite started being phased out but still in use.
