    Icon7 A question on ownership

hello all i was messing around in export descr unit the other day to try and make it as easy as possible for parthia to conquer the old maccedonian lands (turkey, syria, israel) very quickly (i wouldnt be playing as them but ive watched 300 to much and like the parthians popping over to mainland europe so i can kick their ass). but then i had a thought it would just be easier to change region onwership -der i know- so i headed over to descr strat and after about half a billion ctds im getting ever so slightly annoyed does annyone know either; How to change region ownership, or what im doing wrong, Thanks

P.S. i have a vanilla descr strat dont worry

To change region ownership, all you have to do is cut and paste the region from one faction to another.

BUT, you have to make sure the buildings in the region can belong the to faction/culture you pasting them into. Best thing to do is to delete all the buildings in the region your moving EXCEPT FOR CORE_BUILDING and then just copy and paste in the buildings from regions already existing in the faction you moved the region into. Make sense?

Also any armies from the old faction need to be removed and, optionally, replaced by armies from the new faction.

Ah yes, mostly out of the cities themselves not the region. Game doesn't care if an enemy army is in a region, but it does care that its in the city.

thanks guys but it dosnt work ive done what you suggested but when i choose my faction and click on the arrow it takes me back to the single player menu, when i try again - by clicking on imperial campaign nothing happens!?!?!? (could it be because i deleted armies with familly members in ?)

If you have a backup file, go back and don't delete any armies, just move them out of the settlement, so that they don't conflict with the new owner (or as a fisrt step just comment their entries out - not delete!).

Put a semi-colon in front of the line where they are defined; that turns the line into a comment which the game ignores. If you do that for family members though you'll have to also remove their family-tree entries, so better save that for captains.
