Looks like ETW with improved graphics, but the units still seem to want to move in that clunky robotic way they do, with everyone in the same posture.

It has already been confirmed with some videos of our russian friends that units don't wait for soldiers that are a mile behind them, they will start shooting without waiting etc. if this is what u meant.

No I mean like, everyone rides their horse the same way, the all hold their swords and rifles the same way, they just look ever as robotic as they did in NTW. It's just NTW with improved graphics, a different map, and "new" units.

Same thing could be said about every other game in the series.

Oh yea, but that means ETW and NTW haven't advanced one bit. It's my point. CA has failed to advance the way their sprites move at all. I mean at least the ones in Med II looked smooth, and in mass you couldn't really notice a difference. But with ETW and apparently NTW they all move as one blob doing the exact same motions as everyone else.

I mean ffs at least in Med II there were on average 3 different faces and 3 different uniform combos for each kind of unit. Everyone in ETW and apparently NTW look the farking same. Sure, NTW screens show people with a beard, a mustache, and clean shaven, but even Med II could do that. Plus how do we know on lower settings if we won't have clone armies again?

go take a look at Empire line infantry, some hold their guns on their shoulder, some in both their hands and some.. different. There are some mods which take care they take less and less animations so it looks more professional but I prefer more
Go look at the cavalry and artillery. The cavalry all move in the exact same way in step, and the artillery men just stand there blankly and are robotic. There is no variety or life in any of this. I'd love it if I saw a guy slap his face once in awhile due to a bug, or watch some artillery men run about or getting themselves a drink of water.

But they don't, they're just so robotic.

Clone armies save on processing and GPU power. So even while some of us play on max, for people with lower systems, clone armies should be an option.

Really? Hmm. When will Royal French infantry be depicted in game? Or perhaps just as cutscenes?

@Isaristh: Well variety has been massively increased, and the animations are mixed so there's even some variety there too.
There's alot more faces and different uniform combos compared to Medieval 2, so they have advanced.

Have you played the game to know? Judging from the pictures, nothing has changed from animations. Compared to Medieval 2, it's about the same from the pictures. Not more.
