Napoleon Total War’ın çıkmasına çok az bir vakit kaldı. İnceleme hazır sayılır. Fakat incelemeden önce size heyecanlı bir hikaye sunmak istedik. Bu bir gelenek haline gelsin istiyoruz. Empire: Total War çıkmadan önce gene böyle bir yazı yazmıştık. Bu sefer daha güzel ve daha uzun oldu. Hatta bu yazı içerisinden çıkarılacak dersler var. Yazının teması Napoleon’un Mısır seferi ve sefer sonucunun III. Selim Han üzerindeki etkisidir. Ayrıca bu hikaye ile ülkede bir ilki gerçekleştiriyoruz. Napoleon: Total War Multiplayer Egypt Campaign bölümünü oynayan ilk site oluyoruz! Hikayemiz zaten bu denemenin bir ürünüdür. III. Selim Han’ın Rüyası

Sultan Yabgu III. Selim Han, manidar vefatı öncesi ne güzel yönetti bu toprakları. Edebi yaşayıp etrafına adap, erkan ve en önemlisi nizamı (!) yaydı. Yüca Han’ımızın Akka muharebesi sonrası ki gün 22 Mayıs 1799 gecesi uykuya daldı ve rüyasında çok ilginç şeyler gördü. Rüyası çok dile gelmedi, bazıları için bir mana taşımıyordu ama O farklı düşünüyordu… Saltanatı dönemi Ankara Karaman eyaletine bağlı Kayseri kazası Develi’nin kurucusu Dev Ali soyundan gelen ve saraydan çocukluk arkadaşı olan Çilli Mükremin Bey’e bu rüyasını anlatmıştır. Rüyanın ise bu günlere gelmesi gene Dev Ali torunlarından II. Abdülhamit’in vefat etmeden son kez yanına aldığı 13 yaverinden biri olan İmad Ömer Bey’in kaleme aldığı günlüğünde yazılıdır.

Rüyasını neden Mükremin Bey’e anlattı, ne zaman anlattı bilinmiyor. Yıllar sonra Ömer Bey ise bu rüyayı neden günlüğüne yazdığı ise aynı şekilde meçhuldür. Bunlar bir sır olsa da kader vesilesiyle 3. kuşaktan Ömer Bey’in torunu olan ben size bu rüyayı farklı bir tarzda aktaracağım. Çıkarılacak dersler ve büyük manalar içeren bu yazıyı iyi okuyun. İskenderiye Feneri Müşkülat İçinde
Akka önünde yenilgiye uğrayan Napoleon ve ordusunu bu topraklardan def planları için sabahki divanda yorulan III. Selim Han çok bitkin düşmüştür. Alınan zaferin ve kurulmasına vesile olan Nizam-ı Cedit ordusunun başarısı Han’ı çok etkilemiştir. Gece uykuya dalar, birkaç saat sonra terli ve nefes nefese uyanır. Rüyasında İskenderiye Fenerinin yıkıldığını ve yıkılırken büyük patlamaların olduğunu görür. Ancak rüya bu kadar kısa değildir, bu sahne rüyasında yüzlerce kez tekrar etmiştir.

Kahire’nin Anahtarları Antakya’da

Ey Mısırlılar! Size, benim buraya dininizi yıkmak için geldiğim söylenecektir. Bu açık bir yalandır, inanmayınız. Zalimlere benim buraya gasp edilmiş haklarınızı iade için geldiğimi, Allah’a Memlükler’den daha fazla inandığımı ve Hazreti Muhammed ile hayranlığımı celbeden Kur’an-ı Kerim’e hürmetkar olduğumu söyleyiniz. Nerede verimli arazi, kıymetli elbiseler, güzel esirler ve mükemmel evler varsa, hepsi Memlükler’e ait. Eğer Mısır onların çiftliği ise Allah’ın bunu onlara verdiğine dair tapu senetlerini göstersinler. Allah adildir ve merhametlidir. Bundan böyle herkes idareye ortak olacak ve mutlu şekilde yaşayacak.
Ey şeyhler, imamlar ve diğer önde gelenler! Halka Fransızların da hakiki Müslüman olduklarını ve Osmanlıların şevketli padişahı ile her zaman dost bulunduklarını söyleyiniz. Amacımız, padişaha asi olan Memlükler’i ezmektir. Bize hemen destek verecek olanlar müsterih bulunsunlar. Fakat Memlükler’e katılacak olanların vay haline! Onlar için hiçbir selamet yoktur ve dünyadan izleri silinecektir”
Oysa biz değil miydik gölgemizle ülkesini yıkılmanın eşiğinden döndüren, Fransız ihtilalı sonrası iletişimi sekteye uğratmayan ve yıllarca dostane tavrını koruyan biz değil miydik bire densiz? III. Selim Han’ın emri ile Antakya’da oluşturulacak Nizam-ı Cedit ordusu Mısır’a gidecek ve Fransa İslam coğrafyasından men edilecekti.

Kahire’nin Osmanlı valisi Ebubekir Paşa emri ile Memlük beyleri Murad ve İbrahim Bey’i Napleon’u karşılamak için hazırlanmalarını istedi. Hazırlık bitti ve ordu hızlıca yokla çıktı. Mehmed Ali Paşa: Ahmet Paşam dışarıdakiyle mücadele etmek kolay da içerdeki ihanetin verdiği zararla mücadele etmek çok zor.
