Default Probably old info, but soundtrack's released

I gave the soundtrack a go, and well, it's slightly higher quality than the game files, and the pieces aren't cut off close to the end, unlike the looping we hear in-game.

Actually pretty good, I think one reason people complain is that during the battle only ONE looping track is played, unlike previous total war games where separate tension, marching, and battle music play (along with a victory/defeat) track.

    thx for the info.

BUt IMO the soundtrack in empire doesnt hold a candle to the AWESOME work done in ROme and MTW1 +expansion.

Well, I suppose it could've been more unique...or brought more "oomph." More strings than the heavy-hitting drums.

Yes, but the soundtrack songs aren't abruptly cut off.

so the one song that's in ETW is now available to listen to when ETW isn't running. yeah i always wanted to hear that song playing all day, not just when in-game.

But here's the thing. The soundtrack only showcases 2 battle songs for each track.

That doesn't sound really clear....so I'll explain it this way.
There's 3 songs that play when you fight in India, 3 when you fight the Ottomans, 3 when you fight Native Americans, and 3 when you fight the Western Nations.

The soundtrack only has 2 from each "set", except for the Western part where all the songs are included.

As for the naval set, there's about 6 songs, but the soundtrack only has 2 naval battle soundtracks.

Of course, I'm sure google is your friend, but I can't say much more since this IS twcenter after all.

you mean there is as many as 18 origianl songs in empire? why does this not seem to be the case? i guess it's cause i only played MP. i always thought there was literally like 2 songs in empire.

It doesn't seem the case because in-game they only play ONE song for a battle and loop it.

How dull could the CD be? It's probably all one 1 disk with about 8 different songs.

Compared to say, any and all Total War's before ETW that would take up at least 4 separate CDs.

Just another desperate way to get money imho.

Not a bad soundtrack, but not very unique either.
