Default Losing points you are not responsible for.

It's annoying to have someone quit or simply dropped from the game and come back to realize 3,000 of your points are missing. People should get penalized for quitting but why does it assume every incomplete game is quitting and penalizes you? Otherwise, like me and my friend were saying whats the point of ranked matches. It's not like Call of Duty were you unlock stuff. It's the reputation in the game is the only thing achieve. And getting that taken away for ridiculous reasons is stupid, can they do something to correct this problem?

That's why most people who'd actually manage high points counts without cheating or some other questionable way won't play ranked anymore.

You're talking about something else, about how people cheat to get these high points. Whats the point of even posting if you're talking about something else?

No I am not. I merly pointed out that most of the top players left ranked a long time ago for the reasons you mentioned above e.g. I was agreeing with you.

I like this game a lot and would really enjoy the ranking system a lot more if it addressed this whole issue. I've been burned so many times in team games that I've given up playing ranked team games for fear of losing points. When you get a random team member and he quits or brings some lame build, it really hurts to lose 3,000 points. It then takes a half dozen other games to make this back up, only to have the game crash on you taking you back down again. It's gotten to the point that I don't want to risk losing what I have to these random events, so I have a disincentive to play ranked at all anymore.

I agree, but I see that the game cannot differentiate between a user disconnecting and a game crash...
My computer has become real instable lately, just switched itself off on me two times in a row; luckily in unranked games (if the persons I was playing against: sorry, no, I did not quit).
Very unfortunate, since I just rediscovered the fun of quick games: random builds without spamming for both, no having to decide what map to host or what game to join... but ranked, sadly.

Well getting a high ranking, many stars, or many points doesn't mean your supposedly good or have a good reputation. Thats why i feel those rankings are useless because many people with high rankings can easily be beat by people who have no rank, which is also awesome to experience if you done it yourself

Well, you are correct, rankings are stupid, but you can't blame CA for trying to make a more competitive side to this game like the rest of their total war series. Well to answer your problem, play with friends, or clan mates that have experience and know the full capability of their computer can handle a match.

Playing with randoms is a big risk online.

There is many great, fun, funny, mature, and awesome players that will be willing to play some ranked matches with you if your in a desire to play some. This is my last post for this thread, no reply please, good luck, and have fun
