Allied to the Rebles?

Ok, having a rebel diplomat ask you for a ceasfire is not that uncommon. but in my germanic campaign a i acepted a ceasfire from the rebles, but what suprised me was that several turns later, another reble diplomat came up to one of my gallic towns and asked for an alliance..

Has this happened to anyone else or is this the first recorded account?

Happened to me before. I laughed for hours...but they dont actually do anything. Normally rebels that attack you are pirates anyway...

Hi there.
It works like this:
1) A faction gets destroyed and their remaining characters and familly goes rebel. Including diplomats.
2) Since rebels are rebels no matter where they come from, they become part of the rebel-faction.
3) That rebel diplomat comes to you with an offer just like any other nations diplomats.
You can accept of decline, but basicly it is standard diplomacy.

I've only ever gotten ceasefires, but i dont usually let rebels last long enough around me for them to care.

I've never saw a rebel diplomat. I guess that the remaining diplomats of a destroyed factions are rebel diplomats?
One time though with a macedon campaign(descr_strat), i destroyed the thracians, just in the turn they ordered their diplomat to have ceasefire with me. But, when they turned to rebels, the diplomat obviosly died, as i didn't found him.. i searched the nearby rebel towns with spies, but i guess he died.

I never accept ceasefires with Rebels. They've always demanded obscene amounts of money.
