Problem with the Historical Campaign
Hey everyone,
I just dled DLV 6.2 a couple of days ago, and so far the game seems great. However, it seems to CTD ridiculously often.
It doesn't crash during actual gameplay, but only when selecting a faction on the campaign screens. I literally have to race against time to choose a faction and set the game options for the main campaign if I don't want the game to crash. If I click on one faction icon, and then another, the game instantly CTDs everytime. Furthermore, I can't seem to get the Historical Campaign working at all. Everytime I press start, the game brings me back to the select custom campaign screen, and then CTDs if I try and click on anything else.
I have a 64 bit Vista system, with Kingdoms 1.5 installed. The only other mods I have are TA Total War and DLV Europa (which I haven't been able to get working). Does anyone know what the problem might be?

Re: Problem with the Historical Campaign
The crash in the selcetion menue is a known bug, that is caused by using the maximum number of factions possible (I think). As long as you just select one faction and then hit start everything should be fine.
About having other mods installed, I recently read that the shared cache might cause some problems although I never noticed that before or even knew that that shared cache existed. Here is the post that describes the solution:

About the crashing historical campaign, I just fired one up and it's starting for me without a problem, also using Vista64HomePremium. Maybe a look into the logfile might give you an idea what's happening there.

Re: Problem with the Historical Campaign
Hmmm, I had a similar issue after installing the BB mini-mod. Then I went and tried to add a fort into the descr_start folder. I'd click to start the Hist campaign, and it'd cycle right back to the menu screen. So I undid my changes. What I'm getting at is: maybe just re-install the mod, so that everything is there that needs to be there. Otherwise, I haven't had your problem.
