    Default Is it possible

to make the regions like they are in Empire total war, where you have the one huge and major city, and then it's small towns and villages around it. And if you take the major city, you take the entire region and all the towns and villages come with it. It just seems more realistic this way than having a campaign map covered with a ton of cities. Please correct me if i am somehow historically inaccurate.

The RTR team have done a nice job of this sort of approach with Fate of Empires. Check it out!

Mabye with "Real" civilizations that would Capulate when the Capital is taken over but, Places like Gaul,Germania,Iberia,Ilyria and so on and so on are tribal societies where there isn't one leader who leads. Arminius and Vercengetorix were rarities so capturing one city didnt mean Gaul was conquered.
