    Default Dacian and thracians?

I was trying out the new version and conquering away as Romans.
I saw some new units like the flaxman, re-skinned cretan archers?, some greek militia and leviathi(sp?) miltia near tyre. Very awesome.

anyways, I was wondering whats the difference between the dacians and the thracians and the flaxmen and the thracian infantry.

the flaxmen, I mean wow, they were cutting up my auxillas like butter. good thing I can now recruit them in Ratiaria

    I'm glad you're enjoying it.

I recommend using those Cretans on the falxmen. They have very low defense, but very high attack. That's because a falx will do this: http://www.larp.com/legioxx/falxcut2.jpg

The large, but single-handed rhomphaia of the Thracians won't have quite the same impact.

Thracians and Dacians were related tribes, but the Thracians lived further south and had partly Hellenized. Then, right at the start of our time period, they got flattened by the Galatian migration and then Lysimachus. That's why we don't have any Agriaians or Paionians like some other mods.
