So am I missing something when I ask why are there no onagers in this mod?

Pretty sure the sort of catapults seen in RTW vanilla weren't used or were extremely uncommon during the time period of RTR:ER. The projectile machines they used were more like the ballistas and scorpions used now in ER, which could shoot anti-personnel large arrows or large rocks shot from slings to be used in sieges. Catapults like the ones seen in RTW vanilla with the big bowl that held large boulders wasn't seen until the middle ages.

Gomer's correct. Also, siege weapons were used in very, very few field battles, so you really should try to limit your deployment of them if you want to play historically.
