Would it be possible to choose any hat for the units you create?

You could have a throwback regiment with tricorns..

Or a Gentleman mob with tophats maybe?

Or prehaps even a collection of rogues wearing no hats?

Since NTW units are like legos where they swap hats, faces, uniforms, accessories, theoretically you could all that you mentioned. But no one's seen the unit editor in action yet so we'll see.

Anyone got any ideas for units, yet?

I'm making the infantry for a country in my novel. Basically, it's ETW garb (frock coat and all), all white with black-and-white vertical breeches (humbug) and bicornes

I want to make a line guard unit in black, red and gold with a bicorne that goes "front-to-back" instead of "side-to-side."

    That would look pretty snazzy

What country would they be representing?

It's not historic, probalbly Russia (because that'll be my first campaign) or Prussia (sice it's based off the Lutzow freikorps)
Nappy's guards wear the hat style I'm thinking of, just hope we can take off the gold trimming.

There is also the possibility that the unit editor will feature parts not featured on any 'existing' units, prehaps unused items.

Hopefully if this game is fairly modifiable it would be cool to see extra uniform pieces as mini mod add ons to increase the unit editor 'wardrobe'

Don't get too excited it will most likely be a DoW style editor to change colours of different parts of the uniform. I doubt it would be to build new 3D models and it wont be able to change stats for game balance reasons.

Thought Kieran said the unit editor would allow to mix and match parts of models himself.

He also said ETW was good

But yeah, jokes aside, you can change body parts

And along the way we'll have some nifty DLCs with 'new, exclusive' unit model parts included for our unit editing joy!

    It seems plausible enough...

It would be cool if we could import uniform models and textures into the editor to make some crazy units

Did they ever release any info on the unit editor? Because I still have no idea what it can do.. Or are we all sspeculating that you can change hats, and stuff.

I have a feeling knowing CA history with the overhype that we will only be able to change color tones of existing units.

all moot unless we can confirm the editor will actually come. the fabled mod tools for etw were also promised before launch to be available on launch. we all know how that went.

I can't wait to use the Unit Editor. One of my favorite features. I think you can swap body parts, hats, uniforms and so on but not sure until I see it.

If they don't release it then hell will come. Not releasing the Mod Tools for ETW only effected the modders...

But the unit editor I think most of us want and if they reneg on that. Then they better have life insurance.

Yup lol. I'm gonna have them like Colonial type units... If only I could use the Australian Flag instead of British
