Lost steam account

Hello. So I've got a hankerin' to take over the world, so I thought I'd install Empire Total War again. Apparently I can only do it through steam.. But I forgot my account details, and when I create a new account it won't let me enter the product key because its taken by another account (my old account).
I've emailed em and hope to get a response one of these days. In the meantime, I thought I'd ask for ideas here on this forum.
It's a bit frustrating to have to jump through hoops just to install a product you purchased, seems a little half ass if you ask me.

You can of course buy a new copy, its cheap now (60% off or so in steam store, though i dont know if that offer still stands)

There are people pissed they paid money for just one copy of the game and you want me to buy two? LoL, I'm just joking. If I was lusting for the game like I used to lust for games, I would have paid in full to have it again, but age brings patience so I wait.

Steam actually contacted me, and without me providing any information other than my beef, resetted what appears to be the correct account. Don't ask me how they knew which account (i had several on one e-mail), but they knew. Yeah.. Spooky.. I haven't tried it yet, but so far I'm quite satisfied with the effort and ease of their providing a solution. I look forward to spending half the day installing the game, and patching it properly as well as figuring out how to install that mod everyone has been raving about (darth mod is it?) I probably should take up studying Chinese along side figuring out how to install this mod, because at the end of the day I will have accomplished at least 1 thing.

Thank you for your decent ideas, and I am glad these threads are no longer flamed with little whiners complaining that the game wasn't as perfect as it was in their head.

Darthmod Ultimate Commander probably. Awesome.

But i was kind of joking too, would be stupid to buy the same game again just because you lost your account info
