Default Emerging Factions - What do you think?

Maby there could be added some emerging factions to make the game even more replayable. This would make each campaign unique.

    Examples:

    Dunland:
In TATW Dunland is part of Isengard, what is totally fitting to the lore. But maby Dunland could be "freed" when Isengard is destoyed and emerge on the map as horde in the region of Dunland with a certain chance.

    Haradrian Tribes:
If Harad is destroyed there could be a little chance that Haradrian Tribes come from the south as hordes to search for new lands in the north.

    Easterling Tribes:
    The same with Rhun.

    Hobbits:
If Eriador is destoyed and the hobbit regions are conquered by a bad faction a little hobbit horde could emerge. Once they flied over the Misty Mountains from the Anduin to the Shire because of Dol Guldur so it is very possible that they would do the same thing again if Orcs would capture their regions.

    Nurnen:
If Mordor is destroyed their slaves in Nurnen could form a horde with a low chance.

By this there could be added many interesting factions without making the faction number in the campaign higher. Therefore there would be more possible factions without a slower game. The starting number of factions would stay the same.

    What do you think?
Do you have other ideas for emerging factions?

I like these ideas (though the Nurnen thing might be a bit far stretched and I don't think wandering hobbits would have a great chance to survive without some hiding abilities which will probably be impossible). Could add some challenge in late game like the mongols in vanilla.

I could imagine a horde feature for Rohan too. They seem pretty mobile and were wandering in the past after the destruction of Rhovanion (I know it was long ago but they still seemed to be able to relocate their whole population into the mountains in a pretty short time).

    Regarding Dunland:

It is mentioned in the book that after the battle of Helm's Deep, the Dunlendings realize Saruman's power is all but crushed and I think either Theoden or Aragorn gives them leave to live near the hills as they once did with peaceful relations with Rohan.

Actually what made them change their minds is the realisation that the rohirrim are not cruel, like they were told, but honourable and fair.

    Anyway.

Isildor- I like your idea, but i don`t think it would add much to the game. A Nurn and Hobbit faction are imo a bit over the top.

Haradrim or Rhunic tribes would basically be like rhun or harad with fewer units.

Dunland would be reasonable- But i think Dunland should be there right from the start as an vassal of Isengard.

Ah right, I remember now; because they didn't slaughter them as they could have done when the Uruk-hai were routing.

EDIT: But I'm sure the realization that Saruman's forces were wiped out solely by the hands of the Rohirrim (as far as they're concerned) was among the underpinnings which bade them never to assail them again. So perhaps if Dunland were to be an emerging faction this should only occur if Isengard is destroyed (or maybe just Saruman, his voice had a part to play as well in the sway of the Dunlendings) so that their grasp is freed and they're a neutral, non-expansionist faction with large garrisons in the new land?

agreed, the submods that are currently WIP or just released are more than enough. And then there will be DAC 4.0......sometime in the future.

There is already such a submod that was just released this weekend: The Vale of Anduin.

Well, I don't think Dunland is really important to be a faction of its own- perhaps we could have some more Dunleding units for Isengard instead. I wouldn't really go for Rohan as a horde either; they've done that once when they've migrated from the vale of Anduin in the North, and now that they're in their decline, I don't think they'd be strong enough to do it again.

The Hobbits could probably work, especially if they were few in units and low in numbers. Myself I thought about an Ents faction emerging from Fangorn when Fangorn is captured. Ents would emerge with not diplomatic relations with anyone except those who attacked Fangorn and anyone who owns Fangorn, who they'd be at war with. This would include no agents, few but strong units, small numbers. However, the Ents should be diplomatically approachable (that is why I suggest they're upgraded from rebels to a proper faction).
    Commander, the time has come.

    Execute Order 66.

Who says that Rohan is in its decline? They are one of the rising factions, the future is theirs while the Numenorians are diminishing. Tolkien writes how they have gotten strong and large in numbers in the time of the ring war.

They only weren't at guard when Saruman attacked, their forces were not mobilized and they were not prepared for war because of the condition of their king, but their potential was bigger than ever.

I like the factions the way they are set up now...but I really wouldn't care if more were added.

Harad and Rhun as emerging factions it's not a bad idea but Dunland....mhhhh....

I think an emerging ent faction would be really good - there would not need to many units in the roster but I think there is enough material to draw from to create a varied roster as well
