    Default Medium Gaulic Swordsmen?

    Hi, I'm in the middle of a gaulic campaign using the last dl (gamma?). I can only recruit the heavy (medium strenth) swordsmen in ancyra (asia minor). Is this supposed to be? I would love to recruit them in my wars with the romans and macedonians. I'm working on chosen swordsmen but was curious as to is this is a bug or specificly designed.

    You will be able to recruit heavy swordsmen everywhere else after the marian reforms.

    Ok so the thing to do is just wait for the marian reforms to kick in?

    Um...this may be a very dumb question but since I destroyed rome (not easy) does that mean no marian reforms?

    Yep.
    Your best bet for something with similar stats is Iberia now.
