Default Spain (España para los de mi tierra)

I've seen that Spain has some units more that other secondary countries. I think that with that work, make it playable is easy. Maybe with the second patch...
I've heard that there would be 300 new units. I see images of Spain and I see:
    -Militia.
    -"Cazadores".
    -Light Infantry.
    -Line Infantry.
    -Grenadiers.
    -Waloon Guard.

    -Hussars.
    -Mounted "Cazadores".
    -Dragoons.
    -Guardia de Corps.
-I see too a unit that seems be Line Cavalry, España Regiment. I'm not sure (in red and yellow).

-Two units of cannons (I think 12 and 24 pounds).

Well, i count 3 new units in Spain. 1/100 of total.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

If you, CA, have problems to find important units, I help you:

    1) Infantería de Marina. Danova has already made this unit.
    2) Swisses Regiments.(at May 2nd, 1808, 6 regiments.)
    3) Irish Regiments (at the same date, 3 regiments). Italy Infantry (1 rgt.)
    4) Guardia Española.
    5) Reales Carabineros. Already made by Danova.
    6) Heavy Cavalry (if it hasn't included yet, as Line Cavalry). 12 regiments at 1808.
    7) Death' Regiment - Regimiento de la Muerte.

And I have lots of models of cannons. As you can see, make an army is easy, if you know what regiments are important.

For everybody that know about Spanish Army in 1800, this is your thread.

PD: Portugal needs more units too.

I thought Spanish Line infantry was Red/White, not Militia. I think the Blue/White is just a different type of Line Infantry...

    Guardias de Corps wear Yellow?

Also, you sure the Top-Hat wearers are not guerillas? Seems appropriate for the Era...

I think all the line infantry, grenadiers and such count as different units even though they are shared by most of the factions, making all of the units Spain has 'new' instead of just those 3.

Yes, but the units are individual

For example, rather than just normal grenadiers, the Spanish get Walloon Guard, and rather than Guards, they get those blue chaps

    Good progress Grinning.

Well, I've some things to say:
Spanish Line Infantry hasn't a unique colour for his regiments. There was white, red, blue, violet and green.
Dark Blue was reserved to the best troops: Walloon Guard, Infantería de Marina (marines), Reales Guardias Españolas and Guardia de Corps.
Yellow design was for the Dragoons. Yellow + Black: Dragoons Guard (Almansa and Lusitania regiments).
The first unit, in White and Red, is from Voluntarios del Estado Militia, I'm not sure.
The second could be a Guerrilla unit.
And the third, a Light Infantry unit, Cazadores.
Then appear Line infantry (Tercio de Asturias regiment colours), Grenadiers (Regimiento del Rey colours) and Walloon Guards (with white trousers they would be Guardias Españolas regiment).

    In the cavalry I see:
    N1: Húsares españoles (spanish hussars)
N2: Caballería de Línea (whit red and yellow uniform; others were blue and yellow)
    N3: Cazadores de Olivenza
    N4: Dragoons
    N5: Reales Guardias de Corps

Are you shore about the spanish light infantary? The caçadores are the portuguese light infantary! Or is there the same name for the spanish ones?

And yes, Portugal had more infantary units!

There were the spanish Cazadores, from the Brigada de Cazadores de Montaña "Aragón I" and the famous portuguese Caçadores, those wore a Brown Uniform.

These classes were known as Riflemen, an élite of men trained to pick up targets, the first snipers in History. Many countries had this special class, such as Germany with the Jägers, in Italy the Bersaglieri or Cacciatore.

That's it, Spain and Portugal have the same name for that unit. We'are together, do you remember Voltron?
I'm sorry mate. A bad joke-
I think that from the Almogavares to the Cazadores (or Caçadores) Spain and Portugal had the best light infantry - not fusiliers, UK-.

That's right. But in Spain there are more units of Cazadores, but they don't have that name today.

Thanks to all to participate in this thread.

    Great thread,
Not sure 100% at this time if the "elite" unit is supposed to show the Walloon Guard or the Royal Guard. The colors are those of the Walloons ye who knows at this point.

Also, white was the base color of most line regiments. Then you would have differently colored cuffs, collars, facings, etc...

I can also but hope Spain will find its place amongst the playable factions (and the correct flag) on some upcomming DLC.

make an army is easy, if you know what regiments are important.
CA doesn't make certain regiments, it makes certain unit types.
Only in DLC/addons they make regiments.
